“From the white/yellow tees, this is probably the most daunting opening hole in the county. Players drive over a grassy pit onto a tree lined fairway with a reservoir (out of bounds) on the left, approximately 120 yards from the tee. A good tee shot over the brow of the hill is necessary to set up the chance of a par as second shots must carry to the elevated two-tier green.

Although an easier hole from the red tees the approach shot needs to be accurate to ensure a par.”
